OptiTipper unveiled

As well as offering a range of approved conversions, Renault Trucks is developing a number of Opti models for its Master van range, working with body builders to produce an optimum product for each market sector.

The company has created an Opti delivery vehicle, with walk-through bulkhead and fold-away racking for instance, while its new OptiTipper provides a single specification to suit various operations.

While that sounds impossible, satisfying a range of requirements with a single specification, what Renault Trucks and converter PD Stevens have done, is create a base specification that can be quickly adapted to meet the needs of individual customers.

The OptiTipper uses a base alloy and steel dropside tipper design, based on the L2 E20 medium wheelbase Master chassis. It can be supplied with or without working at height bars and rear corner extensions, with drop-down cage sides and rear doors and even with a sliding cage side door and opening rear doors. The body is also offered with an aluminium plant Arbour top section, for tree surgery, with the option of an open back or split doors.

Adding to the mix, all of these options can also be fitted to an L3 chassis cab, with a tool pod installed between the rear of the cab and the body headboard.

Available through the company’s Ready For Business off the shelf offer, the OptiTipper allows dealers to rapidly react to customer demand, by using a customisable base specification, adding additional specification at the dealer premises during initial PDI. The body remains compliant and covered by the full conversion warranty.
