Pick-up specials offer distinctive appeal

New editions of two popular pick-ups – from Volkswagen and Isuzu – have been announced with delivery expected early in the new year.

Volkswagen’s Amarok Aventura (above), builds on the standard Amarok and features 20-inch Talca alloy wheels, body coloured sports bar, chrome-plated side bars with step and LED spot lighting as well as under-body cladding, power folding mirrors and a protective coating for the load compartment.

Inside, the Aventura includes Volkswagen’s Discover Media Navigation system, ErgoComfort seats and leather-wrapped multi-function steering wheel and paddle shifts as standard.

Driver safety systems include a Lights and Vision package (automatic headlights with separate daytime running lights, Coming Home feature and windscreen wiper intermittent control with rain sensor) along with front fog lights with cornering function.

Powering the Aventura is a 3.0-litre TDI V6 with 258hp in normal driving and 272hp when using the overboost function. Volkswagen says the engine generates 580Nm of torque, while permanent 4MOTION all-wheel drive and an 8-speed automatic gearbox ensure that no roads are off limits.

Aventura prices start at £39,960 (OTR ex VAT).

Isuzu UK will produce its D-Max Utah V-Cross double cab (above) in a limited edition of 100 vehicles either with manual or automatic transmission.

The pick-up retains all the features of the D-Max Utah but also includes additional equipment including front skirt, 18” V-Cross alloys, wireless charger and front camera.

Price for the manual is £26,199 CVOTR and £27,199 CVOTR for the automatic.
