Renault renews LCV range

Renault has unveiled facelifted Master and Trafic models, which will go on sale later in the year.

The new Renault Master features a completely updated interior, including a new dashboard and integrated navigation screen, and all-new front end. It also benefits from a host of new driver assistance systems to improve driver safety and comfort.

New Master and Trafic models both feature Euro 6d-Temp engines. The Master’s new 2.3-litre diesel engine claims to provide up to 180hp and ‘significantly reduces’ fuel consumption.

A fully electric Master Z.E. will also be available with a 33kWh or 57kWh battery, providing a reported 60-miles real-world range.

New Renault Trafic also gets an updated interior, alongside exterior design tweaks such as full-LED headlamps and optional keyless entry.

A new 2.0-litre diesel engine offers power outputs of 120-170hp. For the first time, the Trafic will also be offered with a six-speed EDC automatic gearbox.

Denis Le Vot, Alliance SVP, said: “2018 was the best year ever for the Light Commercial Vehicles business in terms of sales, with 34 per cent growth compared to the previous year. In 2019, we will continue the renewal of our line-up to meet the expectations of our customers. Thanks to Renault Pro+ development and our connected services offer, we will keep on developing accurate and innovative solutions to support our professional clients’ business development.”
