New Sport edition heads Peugeot Expert range

Peugeot has added new Sport Edition variants to the Expert Panel Van and Crew Van model ranges. The Expert Sport Edition versions will be positioned above the Asphalt variants and will benefit from even more standard equipment.

Additional equipment for Sport Edition models includes: 17-inch Black Phoenix alloy wheels, Sports decals on the sides and rear of the van and dual zone automatic air conditioning. Expert Sport Edition will be available in three colours: Cumulus Grey, Bianca White and Nera Black. All models will be based on the Expert Standard wheelbase.

Available from early 2020, the first Peugeot Expert Sport Edition models to reach showrooms will be the Expert Panel Van Sport Edition BlueHDi 120 S&S 6-speed manual 1400 and the Expert Crew Van Sport Edition BlueHDi 150 S&S 6-speed manual 1400.

Panel Van Sport Edition BlueHDi 120 S&S 6-speed manual 1400 models will be powered by the Euro 6.2-compliant BlueHDi diesel engine, delivering 120hp at 3,750rpm and 340Nm of torque at 2,000rpm. Crew Van Sport Edition BlueHDi 150 S&S 6-speed manual 1400 models will be powered by the uprated Euro 6.2 BlueHDi diesel engine producing 148hp at 4,000rpm and 370Nm of torque at 2,000rpm.

Payload and load volume remain the same as for other Expert models. Panel Van Sport Edition BlueHDi 120 S&S 6-speed manual 1400 will carry a maximum indicative payload of 1,458kg with 5.3m3 of load volume that can be extended to 5.8m3 with the Moduwork® seat folded. Equivalent payload and body volume data for the Expert Crew Van Sport Edition BlueHDi 150 S&S 6-speed manual 1400 are 1,308kg and 3.2m3.

Crew Van Sport Edition models feature a second row three seater bench seat with three, three-point seatbelts and under seat storage space. A full height toughened composite bulkhead with polycarbonate window separates the cab from the load area. The rear seats are accessed through twin glazed sliding side doors with noise reducing fixed windows.

Two additional models are available to order. The Peugeot Expert Panel Van Sport Edition BlueHDi 180 S&S EAT8 Auto 1200 and Peugeot Expert Crew Van Sport Edition BlueHDi 180 S&S EAT8 Auto 1200 both gain the most powerful version of the 1,997cc Euro 6.2 BlueHDi turbo-diesel engine, producing 174hp at 3,750rpm and 400Nm of torque. Both models will be equipped with the EAT8 eight-speed automatic transmission as standard.

“Our van customers are just as style conscious as our car buyers and expect all the comfort features they will find in the Peugeot car range”, says David Peel, managing director of Peugeot UK.

As part of Peugeot’s ambition to electrify 100% of its LCV range by 2021, the fully electric e-Expert will join the Expert range in the second half of 2020.
