Shawtrack extends self-drive rental
The firm has ordered 40 Isuzu Forward 7.5 tonners, the majority of which will be equipped with a 6m low profile beavertail body, while the remainder will have a twin-deckcar transporter body fitted.
The combination of the light Isuzu chassis and cab, along with Shawtrack’s low weight plant body, gives the trucks a 3,950kg payload, one of the best available in the plant hire business. “We have been aware of the payload benefits of the Isuzu range for many years,” says Shawtrack’s sales director Jeff Wright. “So when the time came for us to expand our hire fleet we decided to exclusively specify the Isuzu Forward chassis cab.”
