Eco van price announced
Ford has announced prices of its greenest small van, the Fiesta Van ECOnetic. Starting at £11,635, the ECOnetic promises to use up to 35 gallons less fuel per year than the previous generation model on an average mileage.The model is based on a specially calibrated version of the 1.6 litre TDCi Duratorq engine equipped with a coated diesel particulate filter. The ECOnetic is said to emit just 98g/km of CO2 despite boasting 90hp.
Ford claims that it is possible to achieve up to 76.3mpg in the van, which features lowered suspension and rear wheel air deflectors, aerodynamic wheel covers and low rolling resistance tyres. As with the Transit ECOnetic, the Fiesta has a green shift-indicator light in the dash to help drivers to use the engine and transmission efficiently.
