Maxi arrives in UK - 20/03/08
Volkswagen will fill the gap between its Caddy high cube van and the popular Transporter this month with the arrival in UK dealer showrooms of the Caddy Maxi. First seen at the RAI Show in Amsterdam (Van User, Nov 2007) the Caddy Maxi offers a load volume of 4.2cu m and a payload of 800kg, compared to the standard Caddy’s 3.2cu m and 720kg.

Caddy Gets New Diesel Engine - 10/02/08
Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has introduced a range-topping 140hp diesel engine for its Caddy van. The TDI PD engine is a 2.0 litre offering the flexibility of 320 Nm of torque from 1,750 rpm. This should result in lively performance, with 0-62 mph coming up in 10.6 seconds, however it is in gear acceleration that will really benefit. Volkswagen claims that the 140hp engine is also capable of returning excellent fuel economy, of up to 44.1mpg on the combined cycle.
