Navara has X factor - 11/08/08
Nissan has added yet another range-topping model to its Navara line-up. The Aventura X-Back features a new hard top design, reversing sensors and a tailgate liner, on top of the comprehensive Aventura specification. With a manual gearbox the truck starts at £23,795 plus VAT, and with an automatic transmission it will set you back £24,895 plus VAT.

FORD’S TRANSIT Connect GETS sporty makeover In the light of so many recent high cube van launches, Berlingo, Kangoo, Partner and Caddy Maxi to name but a few, it is easy to forget more established rivals like Ford’s Transit Connect. To remedy that Ford has given us the first taste of the top of the range Connect SportVan, and introduced a moving bulkhead that will be of use to those who opt for the Connect Crew Van.

Isuzu adds to Rodeo range - 11/08/08
Isuzu has added to both ends of its popular Rodeo pick-up range, with the introduction of a 2.5 litre entry level 4x2 single cab, and an update to the range-topping Denver Max LE double cab 4x4. The Rodeo 4x2 single cab comes in at just shy of £10,000 plus the VAT, making it an affordable workhorse. Despite that, the truck boasts ABS brakes, twin front airbags, a limited slip rear differential, central locking, electric windows and a CD/radio.

Making drivers more speed aware -
A survey by RoadPilot claims that the majority of British motorists feel that the installation of more than 5,000 speed cameras on UK roads, is having a detrimental effect on their driving.

Citroen’s Commercial break - 11/08/08
Citroen sprang a surprise at this month’s London Motor Show, with the introduction of the C-Crosser Commercial. Based on the C-Crosser 4x4, the C-Crosser Commercial is priced from £16,995 + VAT. The vehicle joins a growing number of compact 4x4 commercials, including Land Rover’s Freelander, Ssangyong’s Kyron and Mitsubishi’s Shogun and Outlander vans.

Trukrax has a side loading system that has been on the market for several years. It is designed to enable van users to manually load and unload ladders and accessories off their vans roof, whilst stood on the ground. For additional safety and security it is fully lockable.

Pane-free glass carrying - 09/07/08
Osborne Motor Bodies, Supertrucks’ distributor in the south east, is boosting its activity in the glass racking sector thanks to new product, extended warranty cover and ISO accreditation. The Saffron Walden-based company is offering Supertrucks’ Glass-Glide glass carrying rack, which provides glazing businesses with more efficient and safer glass carrying vehicles. Designed to fit virtually any 3.5 tonne panel van the Glass-Glide slide-out rack allows glass or frames to be loaded/unloaded at ground level, without operatives having to climb up into the back of the van.
