Both Peugeot and Citroën have added a large electric van to their line-ups, with order books open now and prices starting from £49,335 (ex. VAT).
Peugeot’s e-Boxer and Citroën’s ë-Relay is available as a panel van, window van or chassis cab, and is offered in three lengths.
Two Lithion-ion battery options are offered depending on the length of the vehicle, promising a range of 73 miles (37kWh) or 139 miles (70kWh). The brands say a full 0-100% charge can be achieved in six hours on the 37kWh battery, and 12 hours on the 70kWh battery, using a 7.4kW single phase wallbox.
The e-Boxer is available exclusively in ‘Professional’ trim and comes with a 15m3 maximum load volume, 1,150kg maximum payload on panel van, and up to 1.87m internal width on panel van versions. Standard equipment includes: a five-inch colour touchscreen with DAB radio and satellite navigation; Bluetooth; USB socket and steering wheel mounted controls; air conditioning; rear parking sensors; heated and electric mirrors and an interior rear-view mirror with information display.
ë-Relay comes exclusively in ‘Enterprise’ trim and also offers a payload of up to 1,150kg, with all internal load volumes identical to equivalent Relay Diesel vans. These models feature a 5-inch colour touchscreen with DAB radio and integrated satellite navigation, air conditioning, rear parking sensors and a perimetric alarm.
The batteries in both vans are covered by an eight-year/100,000-miles warranty.
