Oldham electric vehicle specialist ePower Trucks has launched the X-Cell range of compact last-mile delivery trucks and the X-Cell micro three-wheeler. The X-Cell utility vehicle has a maximum speed of 25mph and a driving range of 50 miles. The X-Cell+ offers a 50mph speed limit, with a 75-mile range, while the X-Cell Pro+ offers a 50mph travel speed alongside a 120-mile range. All three have a payload capacity of 500kg. The X-Cell micro can travel at speeds of up to 25mph, with a range of up to 55 miles.
The X-Cell models have a reinforced steel cab, with batteries carried in the bottom of the vehicle for maximum stability. They are available with a range of body types, to suit postal deliveries, food services and utility work. The X-Cell micro can also be customised, with the option of a refrigerated box or an insulated cargo box for hot and cold food distribution.
“Research shows that over half of delivery vans travel no more than 15 miles away from their bases, making this a very viable, compact vehicle for city deliveries and collections,” said Jamie Radcliffe, sales director South for ePower Trucks.
