Light commercial vehicle values rose sharply again in June at auction company BCA. Average LCV prices reached just under £10,000 for the first time, as average prices rose £558 during the month. Extremely competitive bidding pushed prices well ahead of guide price expectations, with van values showing a 22.7% uplift from June 2020 to June 2021.

“The continued strength in the LCV market has surprised many, but June was another very robust month, with values rising to record levels,” said Stuart Pearson, COO at BCA.

“Our online model provides significant flexibility to segment vehicles and deliver the right volumes of similarly specified stock to our buyer base, which makes it easier and more efficient to locate the vehicles that they need in what is a highly competitive marketplace.”
