Virgin Media O2 are taking steps towards an electrified fleet, ordering 280 Vauxhall e-Vivaro’s. The news follows plans to install charging points at all of their drivers’ homes.

Virgin Media O2 are working in partnership with Liberty Change, a scheme which aims to tackle the under-supply of easily-accessible charging points in the UK, with the goal of offering more than 500 sockets open to the public by the end of the year.

Tracey Herald, head of corporate responsibility & sustainability at Virgin Media O2, says “With a fleet of 4,300 vehicles visiting millions of homes and businesses every year, we have a responsibility to swap to cleaner, more sustainable alternatives as soon as possible.”

The company already offers charging points for employees, including at their Slough, Reading, and Hammersmith offices.
